| Let's say you connected a tach to the #1 cylinder lead on a motor equiped with leads. Let's say we are testing a 6 cylinder motor. If working, the tach would get 1 signal for each crankshaft revolution. NOw, move the tach lead fromt the #1 cylinder, to the hot wire coming off the coil, leading to the distributor. It would now see 6 times as many signals. The tach would have to have some kind of setting, so it knows to read just 1/6 of the signals.
Relating it to the S-AFC, my guess is that installed on certain vehicles, the S-AFC deals with every cylinder spark signal, while on other cars it's just the signal for one cylinder.
 ummmmm..can we just post about cars? (n/m) - College Boy 08:55:03 04/28/05
